Baptizing my goddaughter was the most amazing experience of my life

Greek in the City

My whole life I’ve wanted a Godchild but no one would let me baptize their kid. However all that changed when one of my best friends asked me to baptize Athena. The Greek church wouldn’t allow me to baptize her had they known I was homosexual but I wasn’t planning on telling them. I kept it a secret and even tried to “man it up” a bit around the priest.

I am a religious person and baptizing my Goddaughter was an amazing experience for me. I don’t believe that God dislikes gays. I think that the hatred and stigma that is associated between the church and homosexuality is caused by people who are afraid of something that they don’t understand. God loves us all, no matter who we love, and being a God parent is something that I will cherish for the rest of my life.

Athena I love you more then words can describe and I am so excited to escort you through your spiritual journey. S’agapo xoxox

Your Nouno (that means god father in Greek)
