The longtime ally of former President Donald Trump appealed his criminal conviction for defying a subpoena from the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.
The testimony came hours after a federal appeals court in a sealed order rejected a bid by Trump’s lawyers to block Pence’s appearance.
GOP Rep. Barry Loudermilk, who was accused of conducting a tour at the Capitol the day before the riot, is leading the effort.
