The pop star’s directorial debut, “Music,” centers on a nonverbal autistic teenager played by the neurotypical dancer Maddie Ziegler.
The singer claimed in an interview that she prevented the dancer from getting on a plane that the now-incarcerated film executive attempted to put her on.
Ziegler, now 15, was 11 when she and Sia started collaborating.
