Head coach Ron Rivera issued a frank statement condemning his defensive coordinator's statements.
The Washington Football Team promoted King to assistant running backs coach Tuesday, making her the second woman in league history to be an assistant position coach.
“I’m not going to talk about a guy exercising his first amendment rights," Panthers coach Ron Rivera said.
