Actors On Renewed Shows Troll Constance Wu Over Her Tweets

"F**king Hell" 😂😂😂

The controversy surrounding Constance Wu’s response to “Fresh Off The Boat” getting renewed for another season has spawned many different takes, including some hilarious trolling.

Actors who’ve gotten their shows renewed or greenlit made light of Wu’s tweets by responding to their own news by emulating her “fucking hell” and “so upset right now” tweets.

Rahul Kohli of “iZombie,” Sam Lerner of “The Golbergs” and Allison Tolman ― whose murder mystery pilot “Emergence” got picked up by ABC ― are among those who responded to their news with some spunk.

Comedian Joel Kim Booster, who appears in Kal Penn’s upcoming NBC show “Sunnyside,” introduced the sitcom’s trailer with Wu’s quotes.

Wu broke down her thoughts regarding “Fresh Off The Boat” the day after she fired off the tweetstorm. She said in a statement that she was “temporarily upset yesterday not [because] I hate the show but [because] its renewal meant I had to give up another project that I was really passionate about.”

“So my dismayed social media replies were more about that other project and not about FOTB,” she said, adding that she does in fact “love and enjoy” the series.

The president of ABC Entertainment, Karey Burke, recently clarified that Wu will remain in her role as matriarch Jessica Huang in “Fresh Off The Boat.”

Burke also noted that she had been unaware that Wu was pursuing another opportunity, and said she’s “going to choose to believe Constance’s most recent communication about the show that she is happy to return, and the cast and crew is happy to have her back, and we’re thrilled to keep her in the show.”
