After attending celebrity makeup artist Sir John’s master class in New York on Wednesday, we picked up a lot of helpful tips for how to beautify and perfect our application techniques.
One of our fave tips? Using glue sticks on your eyebrows.
Yes, white glue sticks from your local craft store (not the purple ones, that won’t look cute on anyone)! A quick swipe on each brow, combined with brushing them out, will give you a boyish and lush look.
Sir John was shy about revealing this tip because, well, it’s definitely a little weird. Especially since the trick is also used in the eyebrow-covering process.
Sir John says the sticks will give your brows staying power and a textured, boyish look. “It’s a minimal version of a prosthetic,” he told us.
The makeup artist to Beyonce, Karlie Kloss, Serena Williams and many more celebs also told us that to give eyes and brows a more modern look, leave the brow bone untouched ― no color or highlights are necessary.
