Michelle Obama To Appear On 'NCIS'

The first lady is becoming a prime-time regular.

First lady Michelle Obama is set to make yet another appearance on prime-time television. Next month, she's is scheduled to appear on the CBS Emmy-nominated show "NCIS."

Like most of her cameos, Obama’s appearance on the show comes as part of an effort to raise awareness about a White House program. For Obama’s NCIS appearance, she'll highlight the Joining Forces initiative, which aims to help military families with health, education and employment opportunities. Joining Forces was created by Obama and Jill Biden in 2011.

Obama’s role on the show involves her hosting a White House roundtable discussion with NCIS Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs, a Marine's wife and actual military spouses, according to CNN.

In 2012, the first lady guest starred on Nickelodeon's "iCarly" as herself, and was praised by cast members for nailing down her “massive chunk of lines” and her ability to laugh on command.

Obama has been featured on a host of other television shows according to IMDB, including Disney’s "Jessie" and NBC’s "Parks and Recreation."

You can watch the first lady show off her acting chops on Tuesday, May 3, at 8 p.m. ET.
